The European Women’s Championship 2025 is in full swing and, unsurprisingly, it is proving to be the sporting highlight of the summer, as the stadiums in Switzerland are full and the German national team are among the top favourites after their two group matches against Poland and Denmark so far.
Qualification for the quarter-finals is already guaranteed, but on the last day of group matches on 12 July 2025, Germany will have to give their all once again against Sweden in order to clinch victory in Group C. The European Championship match at the Letzigrund in Zurich is of course already sold out and this applies to all preliminary round matches at the Women’s European Championship 2025. A new ticket record is in the making and that is a positive sign for women’s football in general.
The European Women’s Championship is better received than the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA
Many football fans have decided to attend the Women’s European Championship in Switzerland rather than the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA and there are good reasons for this, as the tournament in the United States has little prestige, takes place across a large country and the constant storm warnings have meant that a lot of the football matches have had to be cancelled. The stands are also sparsely populated, as football has little status in the USA and it was therefore clear that FIFA would not have an easy time selling tickets for the Club World Cup.
Women’s European Championship finals: Impossible to get football tickets? The secondary market could be the solution!
At the last European Women’s Championship in England in 2022, a total of 574,875 fans flocked to the stadiums. This record will certainly be broken this year, as 570,000 tickets had already been sold before the start of the tournament. 32,000 more tickets for the Women’s European Championship will be released shortly before the final round, as we are still waiting to see which teams qualify.
The Women’s European Championship final on 27 July 2025 in particular is in high demand in this regard and there is a chance to get tickets for this prestigious final match on the secondary market for football tickets. It is therefore worth keeping an eye out for ticket deals for the European Championship final and, with a bit of luck, this match for the European Championship title will be played with German participation.
