Austria Vienna is one of the most popular football clubs in the Alpine country and one of the most successful teams in the history of Austrian football. The Veilchen are also the last team to win the Austrian Bundesliga title since the reign of Red Bull Salzburg.
Their most notable sporting successes date back a decade. However, the rush for tickets has been relatively high again, especially since last season. Both in the derby against Rapid Vienna and in the battle for three points against supposed relegation candidates, the Generali-Arena is always well attended.
Whether with the Ultras in the east stand or relaxed in the VIP area. You should definitely not miss an Austria Vienna match. Be there live in the stadium and help the team to another three points in the fight for a new success. We have summarised all the important information in our guide to buying tickets.

If you are looking for tickets for Austria Vienna, you can find them on the primary market and the secondary market. As a rule, you will buy your tickets directly from the club. Here we are talking about the primary market. If matches are officially sold out, you can buy tickets from other people. This is called the secondary market.
If you want to see Austria Vienna live, the club itself should always be your first port of call. All you have to do is visit the FK Austria Vienna website. The “Tickets” section will take you to all available tickets for the entire season and upcoming home games. Individual tickets are released for sale around three weeks before the match day.
The online ticket shop is clearly organised. To be able to buy tickets, you must register in advance. Registration is free of charge and only serves to ensure that the club has an overview of your details. Your tickets can then either be printed out at home or used directly on your smartphone. Alternatively, you also have the option of depositing your tickets at the ticket office on match day. You will then need to visit the “Ost 12” ticket office at the stadium.
Tickets are not only available online. You can also visit the fan shop at the Generali-Arena and purchase tickets for the upcoming home games. However, this only makes sense if you live close to the stadium or are travelling in the area. If a Vienna Austria home match is not sold out, you can also buy tickets directly before the start of the match at the box office.
If the stadium is already sold out, you can no longer buy tickets on the primary market. However, if you don’t want to miss the top matches in the Austrian Bundesliga, it’s worth taking a look at the secondary market. This is where tickets are resold by private individuals who are unexpectedly unable to attend the match.
The club does not have an official secondary market. A secure purchase via the secondary market is therefore not guaranteed. Austria Vienna also pursues a very clear policy in this regard. It is expressly pointed out that private resale at higher prices is prohibited. Tickets on the secondary market are usually overpriced due to high demand.
If you purchase such a ticket, this is a violation of the club’s general terms and conditions. In case of doubt, admission to the Generali-Arena is therefore not guaranteed. The club’s official secondary market is limited to the transfer of season tickets. If you know someone with a season ticket, this can be officially converted into a day ticket.
There is an official group on Facebook that is run by members of various fan clubs of the club. According to the description of the group, only tickets at the original price are resold there.
You can attend a Vienna Austria home game live with either a day ticket or a season ticket. If you only want to watch the Violets live occasionally, single tickets are of course the better choice. However, if you want to support your team more often anyway, a season ticket can also be worthwhile.
In terms of ticket types, the Veilchen keep it relatively simple. There are no special tickets for families or tickets for a sports bar. If you want to support the club in the stadium, you only have to choose a seat.
For home games against less attractive opponents, there are always so-called members’ games. Members can usually request a free ticket and take one other person into the stadium with them.
Pricing at Vienna Austria is also relatively simple. There are five price categories in total. The most expensive tickets are in the north and south stands. From there you have the best view of the action. A ticket costs 39 euros per person. Tickets are slightly cheaper in the West Stand. This is opposite the Ultras stand and is partly adjacent to the away sector. Tickets here cost 29 euros per person.
Tickets in the curve between the north and east stands also cost 29 euros. Standing tickets in the east stand, on the other hand, only cost 20 euros. Vienna Austria does not have a sliding scale depending on the league match. Many other clubs in the Bundesliga classify the matches. Ticket prices then rise by a few euros for top matches.
The full price must be paid by all persons aged 19 and over. The club offers discounts for students up to their 27th birthday, pensioners, young people between the ages of 15 and 19, those on military service and women. Children between the ages of 6 and 15 also benefit from extensive discounts. Tickets are then up to 50 % cheaper. Up to the age of 6, there is a free lap ticket without seat entitlement.
There are also different price categories for season tickets. A season ticket for the north and south stands costs 429 euros. In the north/east corner, a season ticket costs 229 euros. In the West Stand you can get into the stadium for the whole year for 199 euros and in the East Stand you only pay 129 euros. Discounts are also available for the groups of people already mentioned.
Austria Vienna only sells tickets in advance for the top matches in the Bundesliga, the ÖFB Cup and international matches. Tickets for all other home matches in the Bundesliga are made available in a regular advance sale. This starts around three weeks before the match day. Tickets are then available both online and in the fan shop directly at the stadium.
If a protected pre-sale takes place, only club members and season ticket holders can participate in the first round. As a rule, up to three or five tickets may be purchased. In some cases, protected pre-sales also take place at the stadium box offices. However, this is only the case if a home match is scheduled during the pre-sale phase.
If you are looking for a very special stadium experience, you will find it in the VIP area of the Generali-Arena. For the best view of the stadium, delicious catering and your own parking space, you can take a seat in the Arena VIP area. There is space for over 300 people, 45 cosy tables inside and 16 individual arena boxes.
Those who want a little more can secure a ticket for the business VIP area. There is space for almost 900 people on two floors. There are also 28 skyboxes and boxes on offer to make the football experience perfect.
You can opt for either the Business VIP or the Arena VIP area. The prices are €396 and €290 per match respectively. As with the classic tickets for the Generali-Arena, there is also a discount for certain groups of people. A season ticket in the VIP area is available for 7,200 euros.
With 27 titles in the ÖFB Cup, Vienna’s Austria is by far the most successful team in the Austrian cup competition. Many fans still remember the winning streak between 2005 and 2009. Although it has not been enough to win in recent years, the Cup atmosphere in the Generali-Arena is still palpable.
Many fans hope for success and another title for their team every year. You should definitely not miss a Vienna Austria Cup match. The Viennese are still in the running for the title this season. They mastered the first rounds with ease. So you still have the chance to experience the Cup atmosphere live!
People with disabilities were not forgotten during the remodelling of the Generali-Arena. Austria is committed to inclusion and accessibility and offers a correspondingly wide range of tickets for people with disabilities. The club does not state exactly how many wheelchair spaces are available. However, people with disabilities can enter the stadium free of charge. A federal social security card must be presented on match day.
Tickets can be collected in advance from the fan shop or directly from the stadium box office. Accompanying persons can also enter the stadium free of charge if the disabled pass contains a corresponding note. Online ticket purchases are not possible for barrier-free seats. Advance reservations are also not possible in this case.
For Vienna Austria, the new Generali Arena seems to be both a blessing and a curse. The remodelling was more expensive than expected and has plunged the club into a financial crisis. At the same time, the Generali Arena, with a capacity of over 15,000 spectators, is also one of the most beautiful jewel boxes in the Austrian Bundesliga.
If you have secured a ticket for the next home game, you will also find all the important information about travelling to the stadium.
There is only one car park directly at the stadium. Of course, this is not sufficient for all stadium visitors’ vehicles. If you are travelling by car, you should therefore also consider the Verteilerkreis Favoriten car park. From there, you can reach the Generali-Arena in under 10 minutes. On match days, you can only reach the stadium via Czeikestraße from Laaer-Berg-Straße.
Travelling by public transport is much more convenient. The underground line 1 runs directly within walking distance of the stadium. Get off at the “Altes Landgut” stop and you will be at the Generali-Arena in no time. The Austria season ticket is valid before and after all Bundesliga and Cup home games as a ticket with Vienna Lines. You can also take the U1 underground line directly from the main railway station to the stadium. Bus route 15A takes you directly from Meidling station to the stadium. From Vienna, bus lines 68A and 68B take you to the Generali-Arena.
Here is the exact address of the stadium for your satnav: Horrpl. 1, 1100 Vienna, Austria.
