For a long time, the balance of power in the Hanseatic city was clearly divided. While HSV played in the top flight, St. Pauli usually only managed a brief stint in the top division. At the end of the 2017/18 season, however, HSV was also relegated for the first time in Bundesliga history and has provided exciting derbies and duels at eye level ever since.
If you don’t want to miss out on a top-class derby in the 2023/24 season or simply want to experience St. Pauli live in the stadium, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll show you everything you need to know about St Pauli tickets.

How do you get St Pauli tickets?
You can secure your tickets for a St Pauli match in various ways. The first market is generally recommended. But as you know as a real football fan, this is usually quickly emptied. Nevertheless, you can cheer on the “Kiezhelden” live in the stadium!
Tickets via the St Pauli first market as the official route
Your first port of call is the FC St. Pauli homepage. All official tickets for the club’s home and away matches are offered for sale here. From protected member sales to last-minute day tickets, you will usually find a way into the stadium.
Before you buy a ticket for the 2nd Bundesliga, you should of course find out about the “Kiezhelden” match dates. These are also clearly displayed on the club’s website.
Incidentally, you can already find St Pauli tickets for the first legs of the home round of the 2023/24 season in the online shop. No free sale is planned for the time being. However, this may of course change in the course of the first half of the season.
You can buy tickets for FC St. Pauli’s home matches around four weeks before kick-off. The most important information is displayed directly and clearly in an info window. This not only tells you when the match is taking place, but also provides information about advance sales and the order quantity per person.
The secondary market for St Pauli tickets: what you need to know
If you have bought a home ticket for the 2nd Bundesliga but are unable to attend the match, you can sell it on the secondary market. However, the secondary market is of course equally interesting for all those fans who were unable to get hold of a ticket during the first run.
Of course, tickets for the top games in the Bundesliga 2 are particularly sought-after. On the secondary market, hope truly dies last. Fans can offer St Pauli tickets for sale up to 3 hours before kick-off. This means that you still have the opportunity to buy tickets for sold-out St. Pauli matches even on match day.
The club has been running its own secondary market since the 2018/19 season. This is St. Pauli’s way of ensuring that tickets cannot be sold at highly inflated prices. In principle, however, it is also possible for tickets to be sold privately. Trading via other sales outlets is not permitted.
The regulations of the ATGB must be adhered to. These stipulate, among other things, that the resale price may not be much higher than the original price. Unfortunately, demand also regulates supply. Especially during the derby against HSV, tickets are offered for sale at three or four times the original price.
4 important points to bear in mind on the Paulian secondary market:
- Resale price: You should pay particular attention to the resale price, especially on external sales platforms. This can often be significantly higher than the original ticket price. Of course, you always have to know for yourself what a live FC St. Pauli match is worth to you.
- Sales platform: First of all, you should always look for tickets for home games in the 2nd Bundesliga on the official secondary market of St. Pauli. This guarantees that tickets are sold under fair conditions. Tickets can often also be found on other sales platforms or are offered via social media.
- Authenticity: The tickets sold are not always genuine. When the stadium is sold out, some fraudsters make a lucrative business out of gullible fans. Before buying, always check the information on the tickets and compare them with original tickets. When buying online, you should always have a photo of the cards sent to you in advance. This is because the seller is not always in possession of the tickets on offer.
- Ticket conditions: The ticket conditions at St. Pauli are relatively straightforward. There is no ID check and you can theoretically buy tickets from other fans at the stadium five minutes before kick-off. Tickets purchased via sales exchanges such as eBay or Viagogo are not valid.

Day ticket or annual ticket – what types of tickets are available at St Pauli?
At FC St. Pauli, you can secure the right ticket for a wide range of requirements. Whether you just want to go to the stadium every now and then with a day ticket or watch every home game with your season ticket. The club offers various categories, providing every football fan with a customised experience.
The sale of season tickets as well as the sales phase for Fankurventickets Süd and season packages has already ended for the 2023/24 season. However, you can of course still try your luck at the FC St. Pauli Service Centre. Season tickets are in high demand and very hard to get. So if you’re looking for a season ticket for next season, you’ll have to be quick.
There are differences between various season packages, the Fankurventicket Süd and the lifelong season ticket. The best way to find out about the individual differences between the respective tickets is to visit the FC St. Pauli website.
Day tickets are no longer quite as popular. Depending on the opponent, you can still purchase St Pauli tickets in the online shop a few days before the start of the match. However, some games are completely sold out after just a few minutes.
The day tickets no longer have to be printed out at home. You can simply show the access code on your smartphone and will then be admitted to the stadium. This means that the entire process of buying your day ticket for St. Pauli can be completed digitally.
Depending on the sector, a day ticket will cost you between 10 and 40 euros. You can also get a virtual insight into your seat via the club’s website. This way, you know exactly what to expect in the stadium and how close you are to the action.
In addition to season and day tickets, St. Pauli also offers special tickets. This allows you to experience family fun in block N1 and familiarise your children with the atmosphere in the stadium from an early age. It is not permitted to smoke or consume alcohol in the block.
Incidentally, you can only buy tickets if you have registered on the website. A maximum of two adults per child are allowed in the block. Children are defined as those up to the age of twelve.
Fans up to the age of 6 do not have to pay for a ticket. The so-called lap ticket is issued here. Young fans do not need their own seat in the Millerntor Stadium and can sit on your lap.
Special tickets for people with disabilities are also available. There are tickets for wheelchair users, blind people and certain preferential seats due to other disabilities.
Pricing of St Pauli tickets: a brief overview
To experience all FC St Pauli home games live, you have to pay between 190 and 650 euros. There are discounts for members, children and special groups of people such as trainees and pensioners.
Prices have risen sharply. On average, season ticket prices have risen by 15 per cent, according to the club. For the sake of sustainability, a processing fee of 5 euros will be charged for printed season tickets. Digital season tickets are available at no additional cost.
Standing tickets at the Millerntor Stadium are generally cheaper than seats. So if you are physically fit and want to support the club at full throttle for 90 minutes anyway, this can definitely be an exciting option.
For less than 20 euros, you can attend a live home game of the “Kiezhelden”. If you want to be a little more comfortable, you can opt for a seat. This costs between 30 and 40 euros.
St Pauli tickets in advance
Advance ticket sales for the cult club from Hamburg usually start around four to five weeks before the official match day. This gives you plenty of time to secure tickets for a home game. However, tickets usually sell out quickly, especially at the start of the season against top opponents or when the club puts in a strong performance in its own stadium.
Official advance sales are organised by the club itself. You can either secure tickets directly in the online shop or order them by phone. Tickets can also be purchased directly on site. The South Stand ticket office is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10am.
Members of the club enjoy special advance booking rights. Here you can usually access tickets one to two days before the official sale. However, you can only order these tickets online or by telephone.
VIP experience in the stadium: Everything about hospitality tickets at St Pauli
If you want to enjoy football at St. Pauli from a very special perspective, you can’t miss out on a VIP ticket for the Millerntor Stadium. You can experience complete luxury in the stadium alone or with your best mate, or book your own separee for 12 to 24 people.
The business seats in the ballroom are particularly popular. At 220 euros per ticket, you can experience football at its most exquisite. You can enjoy the delicious buffet with a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as early as 1.5 hours before kick-off.
During the game, you can take a seat in cushioned outdoor seats and enjoy the service provided by the service staff. After the final whistle, you can celebrate the home win and linger in the VIP area for 2 hours after the end of the match.
A business seat on the separee level provides an even better view of the action. There is also a live cooking station and the opportunity to visit selected separees.
However, you will have to pay a little more for this, as a ticket costs 260 euros. If you would like to hire your own private room for the whole party, this must be requested in advance.
St Pauli in the DFB Cup
As a true St. Pauli fan, you can probably still remember the 2005/06 season, when the “Kiezhelden” stormed into the semi-finals of the DFB Cup. Back then, they only reached the final against Bayern. But reaching the quarter-finals in the 2021/22 season also whets the appetite for more.
As St. Pauli are always good for a surprise in the cup and it is known to have its own rules, you shouldn’t miss out on the cup opener and possible further matches. St Pauli tickets for the cup can also be purchased via the website and the official ticket shop.
This also applies to away games. But you have to be particularly quick here. Of course, there is only a limited number of tickets available to watch FC St. Pauli play live away from home.
Here are the upcoming St. Pauli matches in the DFB Cup:
The Millerntor Stadium: home ground of St. Pauli
The Millerntor Stadium holds around 30,000 St. Pauli fans and is transformed into a veritable fortress at every home game. The stadium was opened in the early 1960s and was last partially renovated between 2014 and 2015.
However, the stadium’s most special feature has nothing to do with football itself. Inside is the first children’s daycare centre in a football stadium.
Where is the Millerntor Stadium?
The exact address of the Millerntor for your satnav: Harald-Stender-Platz 1, 20359 Hamburg.
How can I get to the Millerntor Stadium?
You should generally use public transport to get to the stadium. However, you can also easily reach the Millerntor Stadium by car.
You can reach the stadium by car from either the A7 or A1 motorways. You can park right next to the stadium at Heiligengeistfeld. However, it only makes sense to look for a parking space if you arrive early. This is because there is nowhere near enough capacity for the crowds at the home games.
It is therefore best to travel by public transport. From the main station, take underground line 3 in the direction of Schlump-Barmbek to the St. Pauli stop. From there, you can reach the stadium in just 3 minutes.
If you are travelling to Hamburg by plane to see FC St. Pauli live in the stadium, the route from there will take you to the main station. The rest of the journey can be found in the previous paragraph.
