How do you get Werder Bremen tickets?

If you take part in the pre-sale in good time, you can secure tickets via the official sales channel. The so-called first market is available online. This allows fans from all over Germany to purchase a ticket for the Weserstadion. Alternatively, there is of course also the option of purchasing tickets directly in Bremen via official sales partners.

However, once the stadium is completely sold out again, the only option is often to look to the secondary market. The Bundesliga club operates an official ticket exchange. Here, season tickets can be sold as day tickets and tickets for individual matches can be offered. This is the club’s way of preventing the black market. Nevertheless, tickets are still offered on the unofficial secondary market.

Werder Bremen’s primary market as an official option

For all Werder fans, it is worth taking a look at the Werder Bremen website. This is where the official ticket sales take place. Online you will find an overview of all home matches that are currently on sale. Fans can then choose their seats in the stadium or get a best seat suggestion via the interactive stadium map.

An online account is required in advance. As tickets for Bremen sell out quickly on the open market, you should register in advance. You can create a free account in just a few minutes. The tickets can then be paid for by credit card or PayPal. The tickets are made available in digital form or can also be sent by post for an additional charge.

The secondary market for Werder Bremen tickets: What you need to know

Due to the high demand, it is quite likely that you will have to take a look at the secondary market from time to time. If the Weserstadion is already completely sold out, tickets can only be purchased via the official ticket exchange or third-party platforms. As a general rule, you should only purchase tickets from the club’s official ticket exchange. This is because the price on the secondary market can skyrocket on other platforms.

Season tickets can be converted into day tickets via the secondary market. Fans can also offer their day tickets for sale. The ticket exchange is activated as soon as a match is 95% full. This is the case for Werder Bremen in most cases, which is why the official secondary market can almost always be used. The buyer pays the respective day ticket price plus a service fee of 10 per cent. Otherwise, you have a price guarantee via the official secondary market.

4 important points to consider on the Werder Bremen secondary market:

  • Sales platform: There is an official Werder Bremen secondary market. The ticket exchange is automatically activated when a certain number of Werder Bremen tickets have been sold. We recommend buying exclusively via the club’s official platform. However, tickets are of course also offered for sale via various third-party providers or on social media.
  • Ticket price: If you purchase tickets via the official secondary market, an additional service fee of 10% will be charged. Otherwise, there are no hidden costs. However, tickets regularly reach record prices on third-party platforms. However, you should steer clear of overpriced tickets. This is because the risk of fraud usually increases.
  • Authenticity: Always check the authenticity of tickets on the unofficial secondary market. This also applies to sellers who allegedly offer genuine tickets for sale outside the stadium. Of course, you can only purchase genuine tickets on the official secondary market.
  • Ticket conditions: Admission to the stadium is only possible with a valid Werder Bremen ticket. As a rule, tickets are not personalised. This means that your name does not have to be on the ticket to gain access to the Weserstadion.

We work with the following providers on the secondary market:

Day ticket or season ticket – what types of tickets are available at Werder Bremen?

More than 42,000 tickets are issued for every Werder Bremen home match. You can opt for a standing area or one of over 31,000 seats. In general, there is an upper and a lower tier at the Weser Stadium. Tickets are cheaper in the upper tier, but you are not as close to the action.

For all full-blooded fans, a ticket in the Werder fan block on the east stand is a good choice. Only standing room is available in the lower tier and visibility may be restricted by flags or banners. Seats are also available in the upper tier.

Referee tickets are not issued directly by the club, but by the Bremen Football Association. A certain contingent is available for each home match. You must register in advance using the association’s application form. Tickets can be collected from the ticket counter on the forecourt of the Weser Stadium on the day of the match up to 30 minutes before kick-off on presentation of a valid referee ID.

There are no separate lap tickets for children. Every visitor to the Weserstadion must have their own ticket. However, there are discounts for children up to the age of 14. However, there is no separate family sector. Non-smokers can also look for Werder tickets separately in the AOK health block. Smoking is strictly prohibited here.

If you want to watch more than half of all home matches live, the season ticket is also an interesting choice. However, demand is high and many tickets have already been allocated via the right of first refusal. However, if you are interested, you should still try your luck and secure a permanent seat at the Weser Stadium.

In addition, match days are divided into three further categories. For a class C opponent such as TSG Hoffenheim, for example, tickets cost between €17 and €55. For a category A opponent, on the other hand, the most expensive ticket costs 75 euros.

If you want to get tickets for Werder Bremen particularly cheaply, seats with a restricted view can also be worthwhile. These are 10 euros cheaper in the respective category. Tickets with a severely restricted view are even 20 euros cheaper in the respective category. Of course, fans must expect their view of the pitch to be obscured by masts, cameras and the like.
