First introduced in 2021, the UEFA Conference League now attracts top-class football. Big names can be found in both the qualifying rounds and the group stage of this third European cup for club teams. From a German perspective, this applies above all to Eintracht Frankfurt, of course. After the group matches, there are also 8 other teams from the Europa League.
There is no doubt that the duel for the trophy on 29 May 2024 will offer excitement and spectacle. Conference League Final tickets offer the opportunity to experience a major final at European level live. Compared to the Europa League and Champions League, the tickets are not only cheaper but also somewhat easier to get. Nevertheless, demand is likely to outstrip supply here too.

How do you get Conference League Final tickets?
In the qualifying rounds, group stage and knockout matches, the clubs themselves are responsible for tickets for home and away fans. In the final, however, it is UEFA itself that regulates ticket sales.
UEFA initially allocates a fixed quota to the two finalists, who in turn allocate the respective tickets to certain fan groups. These are primarily season ticket holders or club members. For the 2023 final in Tirana (Albania), for example, the total capacity of the stadium was 18,000 seats, 5,000 of which were allocated to the finalists. UEFA reserved a further 4,000 tickets for sponsors, partners and similar groups.
The Agia Sofia Stadium in Athens, the venue for the 2024 final, has a capacity of just under 30,000. This means that around 8,000 tickets will go on official pre-sale through UEFA. Interested parties must first apply on the association’s website, after which a draw will take place and only fans drawn by lot will be able to buy tickets.
For those who miss out, there are still two options: On the one hand, experience has shown that there are numerous offers on secondary market ticket exchanges for all kinds of Conference League games and also for the final. On the other hand, there are so-called football holidays. Specialist travel providers advertise package holidays and tickets for the final. However, these trips then cost all the more, while often no information is given about the exact seats in the stadium or the ticket category.
How much do tickets for the Conference League Final cost?
As mentioned, Conference League Final tickets offer the great advantage of being significantly cheaper than tickets for the other two UEFA European competitions. There are some big teams that are considered favourites for the final. As usual, the association divides the tickets into four categories, which guarantee better seats in the stadium as the price increases.
- Category 4: 25 Euro per Person
- Category 3: 45 Euro
- Category 2: 85 Euro
- Category 1: 125 Euro
By way of comparison, a first-category ticket for the Champions League final costs a whole 690 euros. The ticket price of the lowest category (25 euros) applies for people with severe disabilities, including wheelchair users. Incidentally, 25 euros is also the general upper price limit for tickets for visiting fans throughout the competition. This is based on the cheapest ticket for the final each year.
It is important to note that the amounts listed above apply to official sales by UEFA. On the secondary market, however, interested parties should assume higher ticket prices, which depend on the participating teams and thus on general demand.
When can you buy Conference League Final tickets?
As is usual for all competitions, UEFA starts the application phase for final match tickets approximately one month before the date of the final. This means that applications are open even before the semi-finals have been played and the finalists have been decided. Interested parties should therefore visit the UEFA website regularly from mid-April and keep an eye out for information. After the draw, those selected will have a few days to secure their tickets.
As a result, the ticket exchanges and the secondary market in general could see the first offers appear from the end of April. By the time the finalists have finally been decided, there will be an increasing number of adverts on Viagogo and similar ticket shops. In fact, even a few days before the final there may still be a chance to buy one or more tickets with great seats in the Athens stadium.
Secondary market: Conference League final tickets on ticket exchanges
As the tickets are officially bought well in advance by fans from all over the world and the journey to the venue in Athens is also a long one for many, there are always people who prefer to sell their tickets on. This is particularly true, for example, if their own team has unexpectedly not made it to the final. Important for interested parties: Buying tickets on ticket portals is absolutely legal and unproblematic as long as important points are observed:
- Ticket exchanges act as intermediaries between sellers and buyers and ensure that transactions are organised and always traceable.
- Ticket prices may be higher than usual depending on the match and are primarily determined individually by the sellers.
- For buyers, payment methods such as PayPal offer greater buyer protection, while transfers directly to private sellers should be avoided.
- For personalised tickets, it may be necessary to change the personal data – for final tickets, UEFA offers this option via the ticket app.
- Tickets are always issued digitally by UEFA, so there is no need for shipping and handling costs when purchasing tickets.
Are there VIP tickets for the Conference League Final?
Finally, VIP tickets are another option worth mentioning for tickets to the final. If you want to experience a football trip and a stadium visit of a special kind, this is the opportunity for you. To buy VIP tickets for the Conference League Final, interested parties must go directly to the UEFA website.
VIP tickets are usually available some time before the other tickets go on sale. The categories, capacities and exact prices depend on the venue, i.e. the stadium in Athens. In any case, it can be assumed that the price of VIP tickets for the Conference League final will start in the mid three-digit range and that higher four-digit ticket prices are also possible.
These were the previous Conference League finals
The final duel for the Conference League Cup has only been contested twice since the competition was introduced. In 2022 in Prague, AS Roma narrowly beat Feyenoord Rotterdam 1:0 and in 2023 in Tirana, West Ham United defeated AC Florence 2:1 in an equally close match. In the final 23, the winning goal for West Ham only came in the 90th minute.
Interestingly, both finals have been played in sold-out stadiums but in front of fewer than 20,000 spectators. In 2024, however, there will be around 30,000 fans. This guarantees a gripping atmosphere in the final – while past examples speak for plenty of excitement.
