How do you get Olympique Marseille tickets?
If possible, you should only purchase your Olympique Marseille tickets via the official first market. This is always possible if a match is not yet sold out. You can then get your tickets via the online shop, directly at the box office or at local sales outlets in and around Marseille.
However, Olympique Marseille’s home games are often completely sold out. For top duels, European matches or in the Coupe de France, there is a high probability that you will have to resort to the secondary market to buy tickets. Here you can buy tickets that are offered for resale by other fans.
The Marseille primary market as an official option
Olympique Marseille tickets on the primary market are offered at the best price. You won’t find tickets cheaper anywhere else. You can also be sure that the ticket will grant you access to the stadium. Fans from all over the world can easily access tickets for upcoming home matches via the club’s online shop.
Registration is required in advance to purchase tickets in the online shop. You will need an e-mail address and a telephone number. We recommend that you register in advance. This will save you valuable time if you actually want to buy Olympique Marseille tickets. Once you have selected your tickets, they will be reserved for 25 minutes. Payment can only be made online by credit card. After the purchase, the Olympique Marseille tickets will be sent to you by e-mail. You can then print out the tickets or use them as an e-ticket on your smartphone.
If a home match is not sold out, you can also buy tickets directly at the stadium box office. However, a service fee will be charged here. It therefore makes sense to buy tickets in advance. On site in Marseille, you can also visit the fan shop at Rue St Ferréol 31. Tickets for Olympique Marseille can also be purchased in advance from the ticket shop directly at the stadium.
The secondary market for Olympique Marseille tickets: what you need to know

Many Olympique Marseille home games sell out within a short space of time. As a result, demand is significantly higher than supply, especially for top matches or international clashes. Fans can then look for remaining tickets on the secondary market. The club does not have an official secondary market.
The tickets are usually personalised. A name change is only possible via a contact form on the website. Here you can forward information in English or French to customer service. Payment on the secondary market is therefore always made in a roundabout way. There is also no price guarantee in this case. It is therefore important that you always check the original cost of an Olympique Marseille ticket before buying.
4 important points to consider on the Olympique Marseille secondary market:
- Sales platform: The club itself does not offer an official secondary market. You can only have Olympique Marseille tickets re-personalised through official channels. The purchase process and dispatch of tickets is always carried out by third-party providers or private individuals. Of course, this always harbours a certain risk for you as the buyer.
- Ticket price: The price of Olympique Marseille tickets often rises enormously during top matches. Some “fans” try to gain a financial advantage by doing so. We generally recommend that you only buy tickets on the secondary market at original prices.
- Authenticity: The third-party providers do not guarantee that your Marseille tickets are genuine. The tickets could be counterfeit or not even exist. If the tickets are not re-personalised after purchase, you may also be denied entry to the stadium.
- Ticket conditions: All Olympique Marseille tickets are personalised. If your name is not on the ticket, this can lead to major problems at the entrance. It is therefore important that you insist on re-personalisation when purchasing tickets via the secondary market.
We work with the following providers on the secondary market:
Day ticket or season ticket – what types of tickets are available at Olympique Marseille?
At Olympique Marseille, you can basically choose between a day ticket and a season ticket. For occasional fans, only the single ticket for a specific match is recommended. A season ticket is only worthwhile if you want to attend more than half of all matches live at the Vélodrome.
Here you can choose between three ticket categories:
- Grand Public (classic sale)
- Membres (special discounted tickets for members)
- Membres Tribune Famille (exclusive access to the sidelines during the warm-up, for families only)
The Vélodrome only has seats. Here you can choose between 12 different areas. The higher up you sit in the stadium, the cheaper the prices. We recommend buying Olympique Marseille tickets in category 1, 2 or 3. Here you have an unrestricted view of the pitch, but the prices are still reasonable.
Children must also buy their own ticket. Lap tickets are not available. In addition, people under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by an adult. Children and young people are not allowed to enter if they are alone on site.
Season tickets are also issued at the start of each season. However, 45,000 tickets are sold out within a very short time. The season ticket includes admission to all home matches. This means you can also secure your fixed seat during the Coupe de France and OM’s European appearances. Season ticket sales are staggered. Season ticket holders from the previous year get access to the tickets first. This is followed by fans who bought a ticket for a home game in the previous year. Only in the third step will season tickets be made available to all fans.
Pricing of Olympique Marseille tickets: a brief overview
The cheapest Olympique Marseille tickets cost €15 per person. For a top club in Ligue 1, this is quite reasonable. However, please note that the cheapest seats are usually found in the top rows of the Vélodrome and you may even have to reckon with a restricted view.
The best seats in the Olympique Marseille stadium, on the other hand, cost up to 100 euros per person. Especially in categories 2 and 3, you are offered good value for money. Tickets cost between 60 and 80 euros, but you are still as close as possible to the action.
If the demand for tickets is not so high, there are special offers from the club. You can save up to 50% on a second ticket. These are usually games against potential relegation candidates.
An overview of the Olympique Marseille presale
There is a pre-sale for every Olympique Marseille home game. This is protected in most cases. Season ticket holders and members have exclusive access to additional tickets in advance. It can therefore also be worthwhile for you to become a member of Olympique Marseille.
For just 25 euros a year, you can secure early access to advance ticket sales. The best seats in the Vélodrome are sold out long before the public pre-sale starts, especially for the top matches. This is because 45,000 tickets are already sold out by season ticket holders alone.
VIP experience in the stadium: Everything about hospitality tickets at Olympique Marseille
Olympique Marseille offers fans a wide range of VIP packages to make their visit to the stadium unforgettable. Some VIP tickets can be booked directly via an online form. In some lounges, however, it is necessary to send a non-binding enquiry in advance. The club will then get back to you with a personalised offer.
The VIP area at Olympique Marseille naturally offers the best view of the match, business seats in the outdoor area and exclusive catering. Seats in the “Club 1899” are particularly popular. You get exclusive access to the pitch before kick-off and are greeted with a welcome gift. There is also a photo service to capture your VIP visit for eternity.
Pure goosebumps: Olympique Marseille in the Coupe de France
With 10 titles, Olympique Marseille is one of the most successful teams in the French Cup. Only their rivals from Paris have celebrated more successes. Marseille’s last title was over 35 years ago. OM last reached the final in the 2015/16 season.
Nevertheless, the fans’ hopes are high at the start of every season that the team will finally bring the coveted trophy back to Marseille. The atmosphere before every single cup match is correspondingly good. From the very first round, the Olympique fans make it clear that they want to carry their team to victory.
Successes, records and passion: Olympique Marseille in Europe
The 1992/93 season went down in the history books for Olympique Marseille. It was then that the team celebrated its only Champions League win to date. What is particularly curious is that the club has never won an international title before or since. In the 2017/18 season, Olympique Marseille reached the final of the Europa League. In the end, however, they were beaten by Atletico Madrid.
In recent years, Olympique Marseille has repeatedly featured in the Champions League and Europa League. The fans in particular have repeatedly attracted attention with their euphoric atmosphere and impressive choreography. So you should have been to an international clash at least once in your life.
Olympique Marseille tickets for people with disabilities
The club has special offers for people with disabilities. You can choose between day tickets and season tickets. Day tickets are available online under the category “PSH/PMR”. A form must be filled out on the website. If Olympique Marseille tickets are still available in the barrier-free area, they will be sent to you by e-mail. For a season ticket, you must contact the HANDI FAN CLUB.
Tickets are available at a reduced price for people with disabilities. In addition, one accompanying person can enter the stadium free of charge. A total of around 370 seats per match are available for people with disabilities.
Travelling to the Stade Vélodrome

With over 67,000 seats, the Vélodrome is the largest stadium in the French Ligue 1. During the 2016 European Football Championship, Germany was defeated here by France. A planned expansion to 80,000 seats was shelved in 2005 due to uncertain financing.
We have also compiled the most important information for your journey to the Stade Vélodrome:
Travelling by car: There are numerous parking areas near the stadium, which are open on match days. We recommend parking in the Parking Velodrome car park. You will find another large car park at the P+R Ste Marguerite Dromel.
Travelling by public transport: Metro line 2 takes you directly to the Vélodrome. To do this, take the metro to the Rond Point du Prado stop. You can also take bus number 44 to the same stop or bus number 73 to the Teisseire Palais des Sports stop.
Travelling from the airport: From Marseille airport, take bus line L091 to the Gare St Charles stop. From there, take metro line 2 to the Stade Vélodrome.
