How to buy FC Barcelona tickets in your country

Buying tickets for an FC Barcelona match is interesting for fans all over the world. The options for buying tickets are correspondingly diverse. Firstly, there are the various competitions in which Barca play. In addition to any test matches abroad, there is of course the European competition, i.e. the Champions League or Europa League. If Barca play in a German stadium on one of these occasions, tickets for the match can also be purchased directly from the German club.

The same naturally applies to clubs in neighbouring countries, such as Poland, Austria, Switzerland or the Netherlands. Incidentally, the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk will be playing its home matches in Hamburg for the 2023/2024 Champions League season, so this also offers an opportunity (a match against FC Barcelona in the group stage).

It is important to know that FC Barcelona only sells tickets for away matches to members of the club. The opportunity to get hold of such tickets for the guest area is therefore limited.

Apart from the competition in Europe, there are also Barcelona’s league and cup matches in Spain. The easiest way for German fans to get tickets is online. The first way is via Barca’s online ticket shop on their own website. Unused season tickets are also often offered there for individual matches. Otherwise, of course, there is still the secondary market, i.e. mainly online ticket dealers such as Viagogo, where experience has shown that FC Barcelona tickets are always available.

Where can I buy football tickets in Barcelona?

If you are already in Spain or Barcelona or have planned a holiday, you may also be able to get football tickets directly on site. Although the chances are not high, there is a ticket counter at entrance 9 and 14 at Camp Nou. However, these are only open at certain times of the year and day, so it is best to check online beforehand.

There are also “La Caixa” Foundation ATMs throughout Barcelona. In fact, football tickets for FC Barcelona matches can be purchased directly from these machines, if available. These “ServiCaixa” tickets are also available for other events in Barcelona, such as concerts.

Very important: Camp Nou is being renovated during the 2023/2024 season. During this time, home matches will be played in the Estadi Olimpic (Barcelona’s Olympic stadium, often referred to as Montjuic). Instead of the almost 100,000 seats normally available at the Camp Nou, the capacity for Barca matches is therefore limited to just under 56,000 spectators. Therefore, buying tickets online early for any FC Barcelona match should always be your first choice.

How much does an FC Barcelona ticket cost?

Especially when buying tickets on the secondary market or even from private individuals on site or on social media, you should know the approximate price of FC Barcelona tickets. While La Liga tickets are generally a lot more expensive than Bundesliga tickets, for example, this is even more true for Barca tickets.

On average, a ticket for FC Barcelona costs around 35 euros at best. The more important the match and the better the seats in the stadium, the higher the price goes, so that in many cases a ticket costs 100 euros or even more. If you are looking for the cheapest tickets for Barcelona home games, it is best to look at games against smaller opponents such as Getafe CF or Elche CF.

Are there discounted tickets for FC Barcelona?

With the exception of possibly less exciting league games, there is no real option for cheaper football tickets for Barca games. Discounted tickets are generally not available at FC Barcelona and regular ticket prices must also be paid for children and young people. There are also generally no cheap standing areas in Spain and therefore only seats at full price for every Barcelona game.

The only exceptions are offers such as a fan trip, where external organisers and service providers are responsible for the actual ticket price. However, it should be noted that such a fan trip is always associated with extra costs anyway, as overnight stays in hotels, other events, etc. are also included in addition to the football match.

When can you buy FC Barcelona tickets?

Basically, the sales phases for FC Barcelona tickets are similar to those for tickets for Bundesliga matches in Germany. In other words, tickets usually go on sale around 3 to 5 weeks before a match takes place. The majority of the total contingent is allocated to season ticket holders and club members, but there are often still remaining day tickets to buy.

The “Seient Lliure” – season tickets that are not used for a match and are therefore offered by the club as a regular ticket for a home match – are of particular interest. This option may still be available until shortly before the match. However, many season ticket holders also offer their tickets directly on the secondary market.

The aforementioned football trips are often offered independently of the La Liga fixture list, meaning that the football match in question is not yet known in advance of the trip.

FC Barcelona tickets from the secondary market

FC Barcelona ticket viagogo

The many different online ticket retailers, above all Viagogo or StubHub, are highly frequented both in terms of supply and demand for football tickets. This is particularly the case for tickets for La Liga football matches. This is because dates and kick-off times in the Spanish league can change frequently due to other competitions. This is of course an important aspect for football trips booked well in advance.

FC Barcelona in particular is often represented in all tournaments right up to the finals, meaning that the day or time of a match can change up to 10 days before a game. If this happens, many ticket holders sell their tickets again. To benefit from the good opportunities on the secondary market for tickets, there are a few important aspects to bear in mind:

  • Online ticket dealers generally act as intermediaries between private sellers and buyers.
  • Increased prices are common in the ticket exchanges – depending on the match, this can also mean particularly high ticket prices.
  • Secure payment methods such as PayPal should always be used and bank transfers should be avoided.
  • As match days and kick-off times are subject to constant change, the exact fixture list should be checked again each time a ticket is purchased.

Experience has shown that reputable ticket dealers on the internet offer a good chance of getting hold of a ticket, even for very popular matches such as the El Clasico against Real Madrid in Spain. In contrast, transactions via social media or platforms such as eBay and classified ads should be approached with caution – above all, you should never agree to transfer the purchase amount before receiving the tickets.

Are FC Barcelona tickets personalised?

Another important point when buying tickets via online ticket retailers and similar secondary market options is ticket personalisation. FC Barcelona football tickets are usually personalised – in any case, this applies to matches in international competitions. German fans in particular who have a ticket with someone else’s name on it will use the option of having their details rewritten by the ticket seller.

As the tickets are usually sent out in digital form anyway, it is usually possible to change the personalisation of FC Barcelona tickets up to a few days before the match without any problems. However, it is important to note that for home matches in the Champions League or Europa League, fans of the nationality of the visiting team are only permitted in the guest area.

FC Barcelona tickets for wheelchair users

FC Barcelona offers a special ticket category and slightly reduced prices for fans with disabilities. There is also a special area behind the gates in the stadium for wheelchair users. One accompanying person per ticket holder can also attend the match free of charge. Anyone wishing to purchase tickets for a Barca match in this way must request this using the form on the club’s website.

Unforgettable moments: FC Barcelona in the Copa del Rey

With 31 titles, FC Barcelona is the undisputed number 1 in the Spanish cup. When it comes to the knockout rounds, the Catalans repeatedly demonstrate their footballing superiority. The last title was won in the 2020/21 season, which was several years ago.

The fans’ hopes are high that there will be another title to celebrate this year. This would not only secure another trophy, but would also allow them to outdo Real Madrid once again. For all FC Barcelona fans, winning the Copa del Rey naturally also has to do with their supremacy in Spanish football.

Successes, records and passion: FC Barcelona in Europe

FC Barcelona fans have been waiting almost 10 years for another international title. The team last won the premier class in 2015, giving all fans goosebumps. The Catalans are lagging behind internationally, especially in the direct duel with their arch-rivals from Madrid. The fans are all the more euphoric when FC Barcelona plays in the premier class.

Then the whole stadium gives 100% and wants to carry the team to victory. An FC Barcelona Champions League match is a must for all true football fans. So make sure you get Barcelona tickets for top football and unforgettable moments of jubilation live in the stadium!

The journey to Camp Nou

FC Barcelona Stadium Camp nou map

Camp Nou is a legendary football stadium in Europe and one of the most famous sights in Barcelona. The largest football stadium in Europe can seat up to 99,000 people. This season, however, FC Barcelona will have to switch to a replacement stadium. The Camp Nou is being renovated and will be able to accommodate 105,000 spectators when it reopens.

We have the most important information for your journey to Camp Nou:

Getting to the stadium in your own car or a hire car can be a challenge. There are not enough parking spaces for the almost 100,000 fans. As an alternative to the official car parks at the stadium, there are also underground car parks nearby.

As in all major cities, travelling by public transport is much more advisable. The Palau Reial, Collblanc and Badal metro stations are within walking distance of the stadium. This means you can easily get to Camp Nou on lines 5, 9S, 10S and 3.

From Barcelona airport, metro line 9S takes you directly to the stadium.

From the main train station, take metro line 3. Alternatively, you can also reach Camp Nou on foot in 30 minutes.
