Ticket sales to Barcelona fans have been banned by UEFA for this Champions League match. A further away match will also take place without Barca fans, but a probationary period of one year has been imposed.

In addition, the club must pay a fine of 10,000 euros for the action of the sign-waving fans. In the end, this fine is probably not the problem, but rather the fact that such national socialist slogans from Germany’s past keep appearing on the fan signs of Barcelona supporters.

The problem therefore goes deeper, because such propaganda is of course out of place in a football stadium and unfortunately there are now likely to be too many seats available at the next Champions League match between FC Barcelona and Red Star Belgrade.
