Tickets for RB Leipzig’s away matches

As a true Leipzig fan, you naturally want to be at the Bulls’ away games. And you don’t always have to travel far. Because Berlin is only around 200 kilometres away. The best way to experience a cracker against BVB or Bayern is on a fan trip.

You can still find cheap away tickets for the Bulls’ matches for the following dates:

How do you get RB Leipzig tickets?

There are various ways to secure your ticket for the next Leipzig match. Even if the primary market no longer offers tickets, you can still experience the Bulls live in the stadium!

RB Leipzig tickets via the primary market as the official way

If you want to buy tickets for RB Leipzig’s Bundesliga matches conveniently and at no extra cost, the club’s website is the perfect place to do so. The Bulls’ online presence is clearly organised and will quickly take you to the official ticket sales area if required.

You can also find information about the most important dates and the entire match schedule on the homepage. However, as the stadium in Leipzig is regularly sold out and the best RB Leipzig tickets in particular sell out very quickly, you usually have to be quick and have a bit of luck.

Tickets are released 4 to 6 weeks before the match day. You can also easily make a note of all important dates with the ticket sales calendar. If you want to visit the stadium regularly, it’s worth having a user account for the ticket shop. This makes the purchasing process easier and ensures faster processing.

It may also be worth becoming a member of the club. Because as a real fan with a season ticket, you get the chance to buy more tickets in the protected pre-sale!

The secondary market for RB Leipzig tickets: what you need to know

rb leipzig ticket viagogo

Tickets for even RB Leipzig’s top matches are always offered for sale on the secondary market. As tickets on the primary market have to be purchased up to six weeks before the date of the match, some fans’ schedules may have to be rearranged.

To avoid being stuck with RB Leipzig tickets and empty seats in the stadium, there is the secondary market. As a fan, you can buy a ticket directly from another fan. RB Leipzig has created its own ticket exchange for this purpose. Season ticket holders can also offer their tickets for an RB Leipzig match for sale via this market.

The club would like to emphasise that reselling tickets via other platforms is illegal and will be prosecuted. This is Red Bull Leipzig’s way of preventing extortionate prices. Of course, tickets for sold-out Bundesliga matches are also offered on other platforms from time to time.

Here the prices are usually higher, which is why you should refrain from buying tickets for this reason alone. It is also possible that the RB Leipzig tickets will lose their validity due to illegal resale and you will not be able to get into the stadium.

Four important points to bear in mind on the secondary red bull market

  1. Platform: Tickets can be purchased via the secondary market on various platforms. It is only legal to purchase tickets via the official ticket exchange of RB Leipzig itself. If you do decide to purchase tickets elsewhere on the secondary market, the following points are particularly important:
  2. Authenticity: Football fans fall victim to fraudsters time and time again. The scam is relatively simple, but difficult to recognise. Visually deceptively genuine RB Leipzig tickets are advertised, but then cannot be used. Especially when paying in advance, it can also happen that the tickets ultimately do not exist and never reach you.
  3. Price comparison: With the only official ticket exchange on the secondary market, RB Leipzig basically wants to ensure that ticket prices for top matches do not explode and allow third parties to enrich themselves.
  4. Conditions: Caution is advised when buying tickets on the secondary market, especially due to RB Leipzig’s ticket policy. If tickets are personalised, for example, they cannot be transferred to you via other trading platforms. In case of doubt, you will not be allowed into the stadium if your ID is checked.

We co-operate with these providers on the secondary market:

Day ticket or annual ticket – what types of tickets are available at RB Leipzig?

If you plan to visit the stadium from time to time, the classic day ticket for the RB Leipzig home game is the right choice for you. You can simply buy these via the online shop and pay by credit card, PayPal, instant bank transfer or Klarna.

There are different match categories from A to F. The cheapest day ticket costs less than €20, while the most expensive day ticket is in the three-figure range. Of course, this depends on your seat and the opponent. Sitting in the back row against the promoted team is obviously cheaper than sitting in the front row against Bayern.

Day tickets are available at a reduced price for young people aged between 15 and 18. Discounts are also available for trainees, school and university students, pensioners, the severely disabled and recipients of unemployment benefit II. Children up to the age of 14 can enter the stadium at a slightly lower price.

Alternatively, you can also purchase a season ticket. This is particularly useful if you are a big RB fan and live near the stadium. The season ticket gives you exclusive access to all home matches during the Bundesliga. Season tickets may also be valid for the DFB Cup and the Champions League.

Good to know: A season ticket can also be sold via the ticket exchange if you don’t have time for a match. It is then simply converted into a day ticket for the match day and you receive financial compensation. Depending on the price category, a season ticket at RB Leipzig will cost you between €200 and €850.

Significant discounts are available for OFC members in particular. So if you are part of a Leipzig fan club, you can save up to 80 euros depending on the price category. The aforementioned groups of people with day tickets also receive discounts when purchasing a season ticket for the 2023/24 season.

RB Leipzig also offers special referee tickets. However, these are only available for home matches in the Bundesliga. As a referee, you must also register for a corresponding ticket. This is possible up to four days before a match day. Please note that the allocation sells out quickly, especially for top matches.

Pricing of RB Leipzig tickets: a brief overview

Tickets for the Red Bull Arena are divided into nine price categories and six match categories. So you can choose between the best seat and the cheapest ticket or simply take a middle course.

A day ticket can cost you around 100 euros in the 2023/24 season. However, it is also available for as little as 20 euros. Basically, you don’t have to have a huge budget to watch the Bulls play live from time to time.

There are also discounts for family fun. This is because the price is staggered from 0 to 14 years and from 15 to 18 years. In particular, all children up to the age of 14 can get into the stadium at a particularly favourable price. The best RB Leipzig ticket here costs less than 20 euros.

If you buy a reduced-price ticket, you will need to bring an appropriate ID document with you to confirm your age. Some of the ticket prices in Leipzig are already in the top third of the Bundesliga. However, the club is also one of the top teams, which is why the prices are justified.

An overview of advance ticket sales at RB Leipzig

The best place to start is the RB Leipzig website. Here you can take part in the pre-sale for all home games and try to get the best possible ticket. Advance sales for RB Leipzig tickets for away matches are also organised via the official ticket shop.

Tickets will go on sale four to six weeks before kick-off. You can be notified at any time via the pre-sale calendar on the website and view all dates at a glance. To obtain valid tickets, you must therefore use the RBL online ticket shop.

There you can select the desired match, reserve your tickets and then pay directly online. You will need a user account for the RBL login.

  • AOC stadium view: The largest VIP room in the Red Bull Arena offers space for almost 500 guests and covers an area of over 1,000 square metres. Here you can meet numerous Leipzig fans, enjoy a delicious buffet and experience breathtaking stadium flair up close. The cost of a VIP day ticket for the 2023/24 Bundesliga season is €500. A season ticket is available for 8,000 euros.
  • The RBL Club is a little cheaper. This VIP area for a total of 300 people costs €4,000 for the entire season. A day ticket is available here from just 270 euros. From the upper tier of the main stand, you have a comprehensive view of the entire match.

RB Leipzig in the DFB Cup: special features when buying tickets

In addition to the Bundesliga, the DFB Cup is of particular importance to many Leipzig fans. The cup has already been won twice and the Bulls have reached the final on two other occasions. If you want to accompany your team on the way to the next title, you can’t afford to miss out on tickets for the DFB Cup.

Because, of course, they will once again do everything in their power to defend the cup in the 2023/24 season and add another title to the club’s still young history. The “Bundesliga Plus” season ticket guarantees a fixed chance of getting RB Leipzig tickets. This is available for an additional charge and includes all home games in the DFB Cup.

The Bulls in the Champions League

Even if they have yet to win the Champions League title, participation alone is a highlight of the season that will once again take place at the Red Bull Arena in 2023/24. Duels with world-class teams such as Real Madrid or Manchester City are pre-programmed if you secure a ticket for the Champions League!

To get your hands on these, there is hardly any way around the “Bundesliga Plus” season ticket. This not only gives you access to all home matches in the Champions League. You can also take part in the protected pre-sale and buy RB Leipzig tickets for friends and family.

The tickets usually sell out within a few hours. The club has also offered UCL bundles in recent years. If these do not ensure a full house, individual advance sales will also start via the official ticket shop.

The Red Bull Arena: home of the Bulls

The Red Bull Arena is the centrepiece of the club and has been home to the Bulls since it was founded in 2009. The arena itself has been in existence since 1956 and was completely renovated in 2004 for the World Cup in 2006. With over 47,000 spectators, it is the largest stadium in Saxony and offers plenty of space for a great atmosphere!

Travelling to the Red Bull Arena

rb leipzig stadium red bull arena location

If you don’t live directly in Leipzig, travelling by car is only worthwhile to a limited extent. If you can’t come by train, you should at least not drive up to the stadium. This is because the car park situation is modest and often cannot cope with the crowds of fans.

We recommend parking in a Park and Ride (R+R) facility. A little research in advance will help here. This is because most facilities offer a direct connection to public transport, which then also leads to the stadium. In most cases, there are also special lines that take you directly to the Red Bull Arena without a diversion.

As a Leipzig resident, simply take the tram. Lines 3, 7, 8 and 15 stop at both “Waldplatz” and “Sportforum”. You can be directly at the stadium within a few minutes’ walk. If you arrive in the city by train and land at the main railway station, you can take lines 3, 7 and 15 directly to the stadium.

It is often difficult to get to the stadium directly from Leipzig Airport. So if you are travelling to Leipzig for a weekend in the form of a football trip, first take the train from the airport to the main station. From there, take lines 3, 7 and 15 to the stadium.
