When you think of football clubs in London, West Ham is not the first club that springs to mind. But since the signing of Niclas Füllkrug, the Hammers have aroused the interest of German fans. A good atmosphere is guaranteed here and despite the large number of seats, the London Stadium is almost always completely sold out. Here you can find all the important tips about advance booking, prices and much more in advance.

Tickets for West Ham United home matches

On average, over 62,000 fans cheer on the West Ham United players when they play at home in the London Stadium. There is always a very special atmosphere in the third-largest stadium in the Premier League. How do you get tickets for West Ham?

West Ham United tickets are available directly from the club’s website. Here you can take part in the pre-sale at any time and from anywhere when it goes on sale. However, top matches in particular are often sold out in advance. But don’t worry: we’ve got a trick up our sleeve to help you get into the matches against Tottenham or Manchester United. But more on that later.

If a home match at the London Stadium is already completely sold out, you can only get tickets via the secondary market. This is the official platform of the club. In addition, tickets are often also offered for sale via third-party platforms or social media. As there is no upper price limit here, you need to be careful in this case and, if in doubt, it is better not to buy.

West Ham’s first market as an official option

We recommend that you take part in the pre-sale before your visit to London. You can do this easily via the official West Ham United club website. All matches for which you can already purchase tickets are listed here. You will also get an overview of how much the cheapest tickets cost.

You can also book an overnight stay in a hotel near the stadium when you buy your ticket. This is particularly useful if you are only travelling to London for a West Ham match. Once you have selected a match, the first step is to choose how many West Ham tickets you would like to buy.

You can then use an interactive stadium map to select your tickets in one of the available sectors. The default setting is always “Shortside”, as this is where the cheapest tickets are available. However, you can select other categories with just one click and secure better seats.

You must then enter your personal details. This requires an e-mail address and a telephone number. Incidentally, you don’t have to register with West Ham in advance or become a paid member to buy tickets. Payment is possible via PayPal or Klarna, among others. Your West Ham United tickets will then be sent in digital form to the email address you have provided.

The secondary market for West Ham tickets: what you need to know

West Ham Ticket Footballticketnet

In the Premier League, it is not uncommon for matches to be completely sold out. As an occasional fan, you often lose out in such cases – if it weren’t for the club’s official ticket exchange. Via Ticket Exchange, season ticket holders can convert them into one-day tickets and offer them for sale. This can be done up to a few hours before kick-off, so you may still be able to get tickets for West Ham United spontaneously.

You need a free account with the association for the secondary market. We recommend that you set this up in advance. Otherwise, the cards may disappear from your shopping basket while you are completing the registration process.

4 important points to consider on West Ham’s secondary market:

  • Sales platform: Especially in the Premier League, tickets are often offered via social media or other third-party platforms. We advise you to only buy tickets for home matches at the London Stadium via the official West Ham platform.
  • Ticket conditions: All West Ham tickets are personalised and there may be checks at the entrance. If your name is not on the ticket, you will not be admitted to the stadium. As tickets can only be re-personalised via the official secondary market, we advise against unsafe purchases.
  • Ticket price: You only have a price guarantee on the official West Ham United platform. Everywhere else, prices often skyrocket and, in the worst case scenario, you could fall victim to a fraudster. Then you’ll have paid a lot of money and won’t even be able to see the match.
  • Authenticity: Fake tickets are not uncommon in the Premier League and occasional fans from abroad in particular often fall victim to cyber criminals. To prevent this from happening in the first place, you should only buy tickets via the official Ticket Exchange.

We work with the following providers on the secondary market:

Day ticket or season ticket – what types of tickets are available at West Ham United?

All of the approximately 62,000 seats in the London Stadium are seats – so you won’t be spoilt for choice here. However, you can choose between seats in the upper and lower tiers if there is still enough capacity. In most cases, however, only West Ham tickets for the upper tier are still available, which is not necessarily a bad thing per se.

A brief overview of the different seat categories:

  • Shortside (seats behind the gates or in the corners)
  • Longside (seats along the sideline)
  • Central Longside (seats in the upper tier at the height of the centre line)
  • Academy Bar (seats in the upper tier at centre line level + lounge access)
  • Great Briton Lounge (seats in the upper tier at centre line level + lounge access)

Season tickets are particularly sought-after in the Premier League, which is why you don’t just have to apply for them. Either you know someone who no longer needs their season ticket and transfers it to you, or you can join a long waiting list. It usually takes several years before it’s your turn.

Ticket pricing for West Ham: a brief overview

How expensive your tickets for West Ham United are depends on the opponent. The club has four categories from AA to C. The cheapest ticket category “Band 6” varies between £35 and £55. In the most expensive category, “1966 West”, there is even a difference of 100 per cent between C and AA matches.

In addition, there are eight seat categories, which determine the prices in detail. A visit to the stadium can cost between £30 and £120 per person. You can easily see which category a match falls into on the West Ham website. Another positive aspect is that the price from which you can purchase tickets is displayed directly before the purchase.

An overview of the pre-sale at West Ham

As the stadium is quite large and West Ham is not one of the top 6 teams in the Premier League, even as a casual fan you have a good chance of being able to take part in the occasional free pre-sale. Unlike with the top teams, you don’t have to register in advance or take out a paid membership. However, it may still make sense to become a member of the club.

This gives you exclusive access to the pre-sale and allows you to secure tickets for the most exciting matches. This also gives you the opportunity to get better seats at the London Stadium for less prestigious matches. Membership costs around €45 and is valid for one season.

VIP experience at the stadium: All about hospitality tickets at West Ham United

If you’re going to watch a Premier League match, why not do it in a truly exclusive setting? VIP tickets for West Ham give you exclusive lounge access without having to dig deep into your pockets. The cheapest tickets are available for as little as €120 per person (excluding catering).

In return, you secure one of the best seats in the London Stadium on the halfway line. There is also access via Fast Lane, so you can avoid the long queues. You can choose between the Academy Bar package and the Great Briton package. The only differences are in the VIP area, which you can enter before and after the match and at half-time.

Only the Royal East Lounge is much more exclusive. For €825 per person, you will feel like an absolute star guest and experience a West Ham home match in the most exclusive stadium surroundings. You can expect a course menu, champagne and a few other highlights.

West Ham United tickets for people with disabilities

In order to purchase tickets in the barrier-free area of the stadium, proof of a physical disability must first be sent to the club by e-mail or post. You can find the exact requirements for this on the club’s website.

Once registered, you can then request West Ham tickets at [email protected]. An accompanying person will always be added automatically and free of charge. Whether the booking request is successful in the end depends on the respective demand. Therefore, if in doubt, you should enquire early in order to secure West Ham tickets.
