Chelsea FC is no longer one of the favourites for the Premier League title. However, the fascination with the London club has been unbroken since Roman Abramovich took over the club and led it to success. Today, Chelsea is still one of the most valuable football clubs in the world and attracts fans from all over the world.
Home games at Stamford Bridge Stadium are almost always sold out, while Chelsea FC tickets are not only sought after by English fans. However, buying them is a matter of luck, as supply and demand are far apart. However, those who manage to do so will experience a great stadium atmosphere, a star-studded line-up on the pitch and, in any case, a Premier League match that every big football fan would like to experience. What opportunities are there for fans from Germany in particular?

Ticket prices are updated regularly, Status: 25.01.2026
Of all the top clubs in the league, Chelsea FC has the smallest stadium. Stamford Bridge has just 40,343 seats. This total capacity is also utilised 100% in almost every game. This means that only season ticket holders are guaranteed a seat.
According to ticket information, the remaining seats are generally allocated to club members. However, even these cannot always buy a ticket directly, but must first apply for the chance to buy one. Chelsea FC also operates a loyalty system. This means that members collect loyalty points by attending matches and thus enjoy successive priorities in the allocation of tickets. For adults outside England, membership costs £65, or just under €74.
Day tickets only go on sale if a match is not sold out by season ticket holders and members. The chances of this happening are, of course, absolutely minimal, especially for Premier League matches.
For interested non-members, the best option for Chelsea tickets is probably to buy them on the secondary market. As the possibilities of exchanging or returning tickets at the London club are very limited, experience has shown that there are always numerous offers for tickets on Viagogo, StubHub and similar ticket exchanges.
Apart from simply buying tickets, there are also so-called football holidays. These are travel packages that guarantee a football ticket and include the price of hotel accommodation as well as travel to and from the match. Travel agencies such as Dertour or Vietentours allow interested parties to book various football trips to all kinds of clubs.
The club has cultivated a prestigious image in England, and not just since the Abramovich era. Alongside rivals Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC has always been one of the two major London football clubs with a corresponding self-image. As a result, Stamford Bridge also has by far the most expensive tickets in the entire league: £240, the equivalent of €275, for some seats in the West Stand is an extreme example, but buyers of most other tickets also pay high double- to triple-digit sums.
The cheapest seats are available in the upper tier in the corners of the stadium for £35, or just under €40. Interestingly, tickets for Chelsea FC in the European Cup or League Cup sometimes cost even less than in the league, depending on the opponent.
Of course, the prices mentioned only apply to official ticket sales by the club. Due to the always huge demand for tickets, the prices on secondary market platforms are much higher and depend primarily on the respective opponent and the importance of the match.
As there is a price cap for all away tickets in the Premier League, it is generally possible to attend Chelsea FC away matches for £30, just under €34. However, this opportunity is once again primarily available to season ticket holders and members of the club, who enjoy priority through the loyalty system. Free guest tickets for Chelsea matches are practically never available.
With regard to ticket sales, the club follows a general procedure that is also common in the Bundesliga. Ticket sales for a match start six weeks before it takes place, with season tickets already deducted from the available allocation. In the first week of the pre-sale, selected members can buy 1 ticket each.
If still available, season ticket holders and members will have the chance to buy two additional tickets in the second week. The eventual, but rare, free sale may finally start in the third week, with buyers then able to purchase up to 4 tickets per person.
It is important to note that tickets purchased by members (or non-members) cannot be returned. The only ticket holders who can offer their day ticket for resale once through the club are season ticket holders.

As many ticket buyers are regularly unable to use their tickets after all but the club does not allow them to be returned, there are always numerous offers on Viagogo, StubHub and similar ticket exchanges on the secondary market.
Another factor here is that the Premier League fixture list allows matches to be postponed at relatively short notice, which particularly affects clubs that are active in several competitions. It is therefore worth checking the adverts on these platforms regularly to buy one of the coveted Chelsea tickets. What you need to bear in mind:
All of these points are particularly important for any transactions via eBay, classified adverts or social media. Unfortunately, cases of fraud are particularly common there, with sellers usually demanding that the money be transferred. In contrast, the official ticket exchanges endeavour to ensure seriousness and buyer protection as far as possible.
As tickets are purchased on the secondary market from private individual to private individual, the personalisation of football tickets is something to consider. As with most Premier League clubs, Chelsea FC tickets are also personalised. This means that the ticket is initially personalised to the purchaser and is only valid in their possession.
According to the club’s ticket information, however, it is possible to pass on a ticket (e.g. to friends and relatives) and therefore also to transfer the data. This must be arranged by the original ticket holder.
However, it can practically never be assumed that personal data will be checked at the entrance to Stamford Bridge Stadium. Nonetheless, anyone taking over or buying a ticket should ideally make use of the option to transfer their details.
The so-called football trips or fan trips have already been mentioned. According to many travel providers, these are package deals that include a guaranteed football ticket for a home match. The prices for such trips to various Premier League clubs at Dertours, Vietentours and similar portals are in the mid three-digit to four-digit range.
In return, the tour operators take care of booking the hotel accommodation, arrival and departure directly and often also offer other extras at an additional cost. However, it is usually the case that interested parties initially only enquire about the desired football holidays instead of booking them directly. Only then does it become clear whether tickets are actually available for the advertised trip.
It is also important to note whether it is clear which type of ticket or which seat at Stamford Bridge Stadium is included in the travel package. Of course, fans have to decide for themselves whether the total price is justified. However, the desired ticket category may be cheaper on the secondary market if, for example, there is no need to book accommodation and travel to and from the stadium.
The Blues have already won the FA Cup a total of eight times. Many of the titles were won not so long ago. This makes Chelsea FC one of the most successful teams in the cup in the recent past. The last final victory was celebrated in the 2017/18 season. Every year, fans hope for another success.
The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge is particularly exuberant. When thousands of fans cheer for their idols, as a true Chelsea fan you can’t miss out. Secure a seat in the stadium and experience new successes in the FA Cup.
By winning the Champions League in the 2011/12 season, Chelsea FC laid the foundations for many successful years to come. This was followed by another Champions League title, two wins in the Europa League, the Super Cup and the Club World Cup. The six titles have naturally whetted the fans’ appetite for more.
The atmosphere at international matches at Stamford Bridge is often unrivalled. Secure yourself a place in the Champions League or in the thrilling duels in the Europa League. Victory tastes even sweeter live in the stadium!

The stadium with the name Stamford Bridge has existed since 1877 and was actually supposed to be demolished and rebuilt years ago. Due to the change of investors at Chelsea FC, the fans can keep their beloved stadium with around 41,000 seats for the time being.
