Düsseldorfer Turn- und Sportverein Fortuna 1895 e.V. is one of the most traditional clubs in German football. In 1933, the club celebrated its only championship to date and, after a downward spiral at the beginning of the 2000s that saw the club drop down to the Oberliga, Düsseldorf has long since recovered.
Fortuna Düsseldorf is now an ambitious second division team with many fans. The club’s future path is to lead upwards, which is not least due to its modern home stadium, the Merkur Spiel-Arena, with a capacity of 54,600. It is not uncommon for free seats to become scarce there – especially when Fortuna have a good chance of promotion, as they did recently.

Ticket prices are updated regularly, Status: 25.01.2026
Once a week we will send you an overview of the cheapest ticket prices for the current Fortuna Düsseldorf matches.

Overall, Fortuna Düsseldorf has a relatively favourable pricing policy for day tickets compared to the league average. Standing tickets in the Merkur Spiel-Arena cost €14, although these are generally available to season ticket holders. The price for seats starts at €20 and €45 in the lower, middle tiers of the main stand and back straight.
As usual, it should of course be noted that prices vary depending on the match and sales phase. Apart from this, Fortuna Düsseldorf offers tickets for children in the children’s block from 10 euros, while young fans under the age of 6 are admitted free of charge.
The lower tier of the main stand and the back straight (east and west) represent the most expensive price categories. Meanwhile, the South Stand with the upper tier offers the cheapest seats. Only the standing areas are even cheaper. Fortuna Düsseldorf also allows reductions in the price for:
Fortuna Düsseldorf has launched a special project under the motto “Fortuna for all” (or #fortunafüralle). The club wants to make it possible for fans to visit the stadium free of charge. This applies to all types of spectators and almost the entire stadium – with the exception of boxes and business seats.
So instead of ticket prices, it’s more about luck in an application phase. If demand exceeds the number of seats available, the free tickets will be allocated by lot. However, season ticket holders and members of the club will still have a better chance of getting a seat.
However, Fortuna is a pilot project for the 2023/2024 season. It remains to be seen whether every home match will really be played with free admission in the near future. Initially, there will be a total of three league matches that are considered “free games”:
Tickets for football matches in the first and second Bundesliga are frequently offered on external commercial providers and auction platforms such as eBay or classified adverts and even on social media. Fortuna Düsseldorf would like to point out that the resale of tickets via these channels is prohibited. However, the purchase of tickets via these channels is not necessarily illegal.
In any case, buyers should be aware that there is a certain risk involved in such private transactions. It is not uncommon for fraud to take place in classified adverts or on social media and for tickets to be highly overpriced, invalid or counterfeit – or for there to be no dispatch after payment. Important points to consider when buying on the secondary market are therefore:
The main option for a stadium experience at Fortuna Düsseldorf is currently a visit to a second division match. Tickets for Fortuna’s international matches are currently only available for test and friendly matches before or after the season.
Again, the development of various clubs in the first Bundesliga shows that participation in European competition can certainly be realised in the near future after promotion to the top flight. Another route is, of course, success in the DFB Cup.
Away from the “daily grind” of the league, cup matches are something very special for every club and therefore for every fan. As a strong second division team, F95 also has a certain chance of going far every year. In any case, the floodlit atmosphere, possible derbies and exciting matches right up to the penalty shoot-out ensure that cup tickets for Fortuna Düsseldorf sell out quickly.
The club organises the sale of tickets for the DFB Cup in the same way as tickets for league matches. This applies to both home and away matches. The respective prices depend on the opponent and the cup round.
The club sells tickets for Fortuna Düsseldorf away matches exclusively via the online shop. Depending on the away trip, the contingent is limited to a few hundred to a thousand tickets, meaning that F95 generally limits the order process to two tickets. It can also be assumed that standing room tickets are the first to sell out. Season ticket holders have an advantage here.
If you want to buy tickets directly from the club, there are advance booking offices in the fan and ticket shops at Flinger Broich and Burgplatz in Düsseldorf. The club also has the aforementioned online shop and a ticket hotline. Season ticket holders who will not be using their ticket on a match day usually place it in the online ticket shop for resale as a day ticket.
This online shop is also available for ticket purchases on the respective match day until shortly before kick-off. The same applies to the service ticket offices at the Merkur Spiel-Arena, where tickets are available from 90 minutes before and up to 15 minutes after kick-off and cost two to three euros more than usual.
Fortuna Düsseldorf always waits for the dates of the respective match days or individual games before selling day tickets in advance. Sales usually start four to six weeks before a match.
There is first a phase in which season ticket holders and members of the club can exercise their right to purchase. This is followed by free sales. The situation is similar for away tickets, although the procedure of the home club plays a role here.
Like many well-known clubs in professional football, Fortuna Düsseldorf also offers a very special stadium experience with VIP tickets. Such VIP tickets make a special gift for big football fans, for example. With VIP day tickets, spectators can experience the match from a box or a business seat in front of the VIP area. In addition, there is a catering offer and support from service staff at the seat.
VIP day tickets for Fortuna home matches are available either in the Metro Lounge (East Stand) from 250 euros per person or in the Merkur Business Club (West Stand) from 275 euros per person.
As everyone should have the chance to attend a home match, Fortuna Düsseldorf offers tickets for wheelchair users as well as for the visually impaired or deaf. They can also become season ticket holders. The respective season tickets or day tickets can be requested by e-mail or purchased directly via the ticket hotline or in the ticket shop at Flinger Broich. The same applies to any tickets for accompanying persons.
The Merkur Spiel-Arena is located on a larger arena and exhibition centre site. After entering the arena, drivers will find signs for car parks P1 for home fans and P2 for visiting fans. A total of 22,000 parking spaces are available there and the parking fee is five euros on match days.
Here is the address of the stadium for your satnav: Arena-Straße 1, 40474 Düsseldorf.
It is worth noting for users of public transport that every Fortuna Düsseldorf ticket can also be used directly as a ticket on a match day. This applies within the entire VRR network area, including 2nd class trains and until the end of service at 03:00 on the following day of a match.
On home match days, additional buses and special Rheinbahn trains are usually provided from two hours before the start of the match. Fortuna itself recommends this travel option, especially as the journey from the main railway station to the stadium only takes around 15 minutes.
