At the other end of the spectrum from Hertha is the GDR’s record champions in the 2. Bundesliga; according to transfermarkt.de, Dynamo Dresden’s squad has the lowest market value in the division at €10.98 million. This inevitably makes the newly promoted side a relegation candidate. However, the team has a loyal fan base behind it, which supported their side frenetically last season with an average attendance of 28,991. This year, too, the 15,000 season tickets sold out in no time. Sold-out matches at the new 32,249-capacity stadium are therefore likely to be the norm.
The club has increased its ticket prices by 5 to 10 per cent for the new league. Season tickets for standing room now cost 230 euros (+20 euros), whilst seats are priced at between 365 and 615 euros. Single-match tickets are available for 14 euros (standing room) and 28 or 31 euros. In addition, Dynamo Dresden offers discounts to members, school pupils, students, pensioners, those receiving benefits and people with severe disabilities (GdB 70 or above), and the benefits for both groups can be combined. Children aged between 6 and 14 pay the lowest price, and the club offers two affordable family rates.
