Fortuna for all: Fortuna Düsseldorf tickets against HSV
Author: Soccer-ticket.com | Published on 19. September 2024
Fortuna Düsseldorf will once again be offering free home matches in the 2024/2025 season under the motto “Fortuna for all”. With this project, Fortuna wants to give as many people as possible access to the stadium. The home matches against Hamburger SV, SV Elversberg, Preußen Münster and Darmstadt 98 will be free for Fortuna Düsseldorf fans to watch in the stadium. Here is an overview of how to get tickets for the matches.
Fortuna Düsseldorf: Dates for the free games
The dates for the first two home matches to be played under the “Fortuna for all” project have been known since 5 September 2024. The first home match that Fortuna fans can watch free of charge in the stadium is the match against Hamburger SV on matchday 8 of the 2024/2025 second division season. The match in the Merkur-Arena against Hamburger SV has been scheduled by the DFL for Sunday, 6 October 2024.
The second fixed date is match day 13 against SV Elversberg (Saturday, 23 November 2024 at 13:30). The two other free games against promoted Preußen Münster and the match against relegated Bundesliga side Darmstadt 98 do not yet have an exact date. Fortuna will inform all fans in good time before the selected matches.
“Fortuna for all” tickets: How to get tickets
Tickets will be allocated after an application phase in a separate selection process, with long-standing club members being rewarded for their loyalty and having a higher chance of receiving a ticket. A Fortuna account is required to apply for the free games, which fans can also use to purchase their other tickets. Anyone who has not yet purchased Fortuna Düsseldorf tickets or created a customer account must create an account for the application phase.
Once you have logged in with your user name, you can choose tickets for the next free match. It is up to the fans whether they want to choose a seat in the stadium or not. When choosing a seat, they can also decide whether the ticket should expire if the desired seat is not available.
Fortuna Düsseldorf: Is it possible to apply for the free tickets in groups?
Fans can apply for a maximum of 4 tickets, whereby the number of tickets does not play a role in the selection process. Fortuna prevents only a proportion of the desired tickets from being issued when 4 tickets are ordered – either all or none. Fairness plays a major role in the application process for Fortuna, which is why it requests that multiple applications are not submitted for a group application.
If a member of the group is unable to attend on match day at short notice, the ticket can easily be transferred to another name at any time. If the ticket cannot be used, fans have the option of passing it on via the secondary ticket market.
Fortuna Düsseldorf vs. HSV: When does the application phase start?
The application phase for the home match against Hamburger SV began for members on Monday, 26 August 2024, at 4:30 pm. Three days later, on Thursday 29 August 2024, the application phase for the remaining Fortuna fans began at 10:00 a.m. On 12 September 2024, tickets for the South Stand were allocated at 4:30 pm.
After the application phase on 23 September 2024, the remaining tickets will be allocated on 25 September. Fans whose applications were not considered will have the opportunity to purchase remaining tickets via the secondary ticket market from 10:00 a.m. on Friday, 27 September 2024.
Fortuna for all: What the free games cost the club
With this project, Fortuna is trying to offer all fans, whether members, organised supporters, visiting fans or season ticket holders, the opportunity to attend matches free of charge. The project, which costs around 45 million euros, is supported by sponsors such as Targobank, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, 11teamsports, Metro and Common Goal.
Fortuna Düsseldorf plans to offer fans every home game of a season free of charge in the long term with the pilot project. The free games model will initially be supported by the sponsors for a period of 5 years.
Fortuna Düsseldorf draws a positive conclusion after one season
Fortuna offered three free home matches for the first time in the 2023/2024 season. Last season, 350,000 ticket requests were received for the matches offered in the Merkur Arena – five times the ticket contingent. Fortuna’s CEO Alexander Jobst emphasises that Fortuna’s aim is to tap into new target groups and attract new fans. The fact that Fortuna’s ticket revenue rose by 28 per cent despite the three free games is an interesting fact.
