Ticket prices are updated regularly, Status: 25.01.2026
In principle, Man United is like all the top clubs in English professional football. The allocation of tickets is almost always fully utilised, meaning that matches are sold out long in advance. Only season ticket holders are on the safe side. Particularly in duels with rivals such as Liverpool FC, Manchester City or Arsenal FC, getting football tickets for Manchester United is a real game of chance.
This primarily affects members of the club. According to the club’s ticket information, anyone wishing to buy a normal ticket via United’s online shop must be an “official member”. Membership is available in different variants and costs between £35 and £65, i.e. around €40 and €75, depending on your choice. For non-members, tickets are only available through official channels in the form of VIP tickets. The price for VIP tickets at Manchester United starts in the mid three-figure range and can also exceed 1000 euros.
Probably the best option for all non-members for one-day tickets for Old Trafford is ultimately on the secondary market. On ticket exchanges such as StubHub or Viagogo, there are regularly numerous offers for Premier League tickets for all match dates. Naturally, there is also high demand, meaning that these availabilities are sometimes quickly used up.
In addition, football trips are often advertised with a ticket guarantee. For example, interested parties book a football trip to Manchester United and pay for the ticket as well as the journey, hotel accommodation and departure. Find out more about these options from Dertour, Vietentours and similar providers below.
Anyone who finds out about ticket sales in the Premier League will quickly realise the high price level of the league. Ticket prices in England are far higher than in the Bundesliga. What’s more, there is virtually no standing room in the stadiums of the top teams, which means there are no cheaper tickets. Instead, the cheapest tickets cost between 25 and 55 pounds, 29 and 63 euros – with the exception of Liverpool, where a few tickets are available for 9 pounds.
The cheapest tickets at Manchester United are available from 36 pounds, just under 41 euros. The price for the most expensive seats at Old Trafford Stadium is 70 pounds, just under 80 euros.
It should be noted that these ticket prices apply to most home games in the league. In some cases, there may still be top surcharges – for example, for matches against direct rivals for the league title in the final phase of a season. It is also the case that tickets for European Cup or national cup matches are sometimes considerably cheaper – depending on the opponent. However, demand remains high.
Compared to the teams’ home tickets, tickets for away games in the Premier League are actually relatively inexpensive. This is because there is an upper price limit for away tickets in the English Premier League of £30, the equivalent of around €34. Tickets for a Manchester United away game would therefore be a good option.
However, guest tickets are only available to members of the club and there is of course a very high demand, while the contingents are always limited to a few hundred to a few thousand tickets. However, away tickets can sometimes be found on the secondary market.
The club states in its ticket information that ticket sales open 8 weeks before each match. This assumes that the fixture list has already been finalised by the league management. It should be noted that matches in the Premier League can also be postponed at relatively short notice, meaning that match dates can be moved from Saturday to Sunday, for example.
This mainly affects those clubs that are represented in the national cup and international competitions in addition to the league. This often applies to Manchester United, who usually advance to the final stages of tournaments, especially in the European Cup.

The possible postponements of matches in particular ensure that many football tickets are offered on Viagogo, StubHub and other ticket exchanges as well as on social media, eBay and classified ads. Ticket buyers may not be able to take advantage of a new match date and then want to sell their tickets without using Manchester United’s internal secondary market.
Of course, this often results in a higher ticket price being demanded than was originally the case. Especially for very important matches, such as those for the league title, the tickets cost even more. In any case, buyers can rest assured that the purchase via ticket exchanges is absolutely legal. To be on the safe side, there are a few points to bear in mind:
Another important aspect of buying tickets, including on the secondary market, is the personalisation of tickets. As is the case with many professional clubs, Manchester United tickets are usually personalised, i.e. issued to a specific person. In principle, the ticket is therefore only valid in the hands of the person in question.
However, it should be noted that there are practically never any checks at the entrance to Old Trafford. The only exceptions are away tickets. Apart from that, it is possible for holders of original tickets to have their personal details changed on request. Anyone who takes over a ticket should therefore make use of this if possible.
As already mentioned, so-called football trips or fan trips are a widely advertised offer in connection with many well-known football clubs. Dertour, Vietentours and similar travel providers guarantee a football ticket to a home match, with buyers also booking hotel accommodation and possibly travel to and from the match. In some cases, there are other extras such as a stadium tour.
In line with this service, these offers cost a mid three- to four-figure sum. Of course, it is not possible to buy a single ticket at the original price.
Interested parties must decide for themselves to what extent such offers actually make sense. However, it should be noted that football trips do not always take into account possible postponements of matches. It’s the small print that counts here. It is also clear that the advertised offers are usually only potential enquiries in the first instance. Afterwards, interested parties often realise that a trip is not possible after all – because there are officially no more tickets available.
Manchester United is one of the most successful teams in the FA Cup. The Red Devils have won the title 12 times so far. However, the last time they won the cup was almost 10 years ago. The fans are correspondingly hungry for new successes. The atmosphere at Old Trafford is particularly boisterous during an FA Cup match. All the fans want to carry the team to victory and into the next round.
As a true fan, you shouldn’t miss a Manchester United cup game. Feel the unique atmosphere when new successes are celebrated in the Premier League’s biggest stadium. In the 2023/24 season, the Red Devils will of course do everything in their power to bring another title to Manchester.
Manchester United have already won the Champions League three times and celebrated a victory in the Europa League. The Red Devils are therefore one of the most successful English teams in Europe. However, fans can only celebrate the titles in their memories. They have been waiting six years for new successes.
Even if the recent past has been characterised by difficulties, Manchester United is still one of the top teams in England. It would therefore come as no surprise if the Red Devils were soon back in a European final. Of course, the best way to get there is to support the team live in person. The Champions League anthem is guaranteed to give you goosebumps.
