Ticket information for the Camp Nou

With around 100,000 seats, Camp Nou is the largest football stadium in Europe. The arena was built as an oval and therefore also offers numerous seats in the corners. These are usually a little cheaper, but the view is not exactly ideal.

There is no separate family block at Camp Nou. The FC Barcelona stadium is considered to be very safe, as the violent Ultras were banned from the stadium for life many years ago. If you want to enjoy the match in peace, the seats on the south side behind the goal are not recommended. This is where the die-hard Barca fans sit.

From Avenida Arístides Maillol and Carrer de la Maternitat, the two main stands parallel to the pitch, you have the best view of the pitch. We recommend seats in the second tier, as the view from here is roughly comparable to a TV broadcast.

In addition, the prices for tickets in the 2nd tier are only slightly higher than in the 3rd tier, which is hardly worth mentioning. Incidentally, you cannot return your tickets for the Camp Nou. Once purchased, tickets for an FC Barcelona home match cannot be re-personalised or resold.

A ticket costs around 20 euros per person and is available directly on site or in advance via various third-party providers.

As soon as the Spotify Camp Nou reopens its doors, the public stadium tours will of course also be offered again. You will then have the opportunity to experience the modernised stadium up close. A public tour of the FC Barcelona stadium includes a look inside the changing room, the players’ tunnel and a view of the seemingly endless stands from the pitch.

Visitor information for the Spotify Camp Nou

As a rule, the FC Barcelona stadium opens 90 minutes before kick-off on match days. There are two reasons why you should be there as soon as possible at the start of the match. On the one hand, you have the opportunity to avoid the crowds and take in this huge arena. On the other hand, you can watch the veteran stars and young talents warm up.

Since Eintracht Frankfurt took over the Camp Nou in the Champions League, there has been a new rule for international matches. Fans without a Spanish ID card are only allowed to sit in the guest block. There may be checks at the entrance to the FC Barcelona stadium and access may be denied.

Small bags that can be stowed under the seat may be taken into the stadium without any problems. Fans can also save money and take their own snacks and drinks into the stadium. However, glass or aluminium containers are prohibited for safety reasons. Large rucksacks are not permitted at Camp Nou.

Fans with disabilities can also fully enjoy the home matches at Camp Nou. There are separate barrier-free areas behind each goal. After the refurbishment in 2026, even more spaces will be created for people in wheelchairs.

• VIP Panoramic: From this hospitality area, you have an incredible view of the entire Camp Nou. Admittedly, there are similar seats in sector S41 on the opposite side of the stadium. In the Panoramic area, however, you can of course enjoy many more VIP benefits.
• VIP Balcony: This exclusive area is located between the 1st and 2nd tier so that you can keep an eye on the action at all times. You can make yourself comfortable in the VIP room 1.5 hours before the start of the match. You can also enjoy match food and drinks here during the interval and up to an hour after the end of the match.

Interesting facts about the Spotify Camp Nou

The Spotify Camp Nou has borne its current name since 2022 and will retain it at least until 2026. Previously, the home of FC Barcelona was simply called Camp Nou for many years, which means “new pitch” in German. However, Camp Nou is no longer all that new, as the stadium was opened on 24 September 1957.

Today, only very few fans know that FC Barcelona previously played its home matches at Les Corts. But even in the 1950s, the capacity of around 60,000 seats was no longer sufficient for the club. The result was the largest football stadium in Europe to date, which enjoys undeniable cult status.

For the 1980 World Cup, the Camp Nou was expanded once again to include another upper tier. The FC Barcelona stadium had a total capacity of around 119,000 fans at the time. Camp Nou thus briefly became the largest football stadium in the world. To this day, there is no football arena that can hold more fans.

However, due to safety concerns from UEFA, the additional upper tier was removed before the World Cup. However, little else has changed in the almost 70-year history of the FC Barcelona stadium. Although the first modernisation plans were already available in 2007, the official start of construction did not begin until 2022. Once the renovation is complete in 2026, the Camp Nou is expected to be able to accommodate more than 100,000 visitors.

From 1972 to 1999, the stadium repeatedly hosted international finals in the European Cup Winners’ Cup, the Champions League and the European Cup of Nations. The last major event took place in 2016 during the final of the French Rugby Union Championship. The Spotify Camp Nou was completely sold out with 91,553 visitors.

The journey to Camp Nou

Although the Spotify Camp Nou is not located in the vibrant centre of Barcelona, travelling to the stadium by car is not really recommended. Public car parks around the stadium are very limited and usually only available for VIP guests, coaches and fans with disabilities.

Alternatively, you can park in car parks vs. a higher fee and then make your way to Camp Nou. However, it is more advisable to travel directly to the stadium by public transport.

The Palau Reial metro and tram stop is just a 5-minute walk from the FC Barcelona stadium. Lines L3, T1, T2 and T3, among others, stop here. However, you can only get directly to the stadium by bus. Line H8 stops at Les Corts – Arizala in front of the south gates of the stadium. Line 113, on the other hand, takes you to the Av Joan XXIII – Maternitat stop and therefore also to the north entrance of the stadium.
